Albany Primitive Baptist Church
Vision Statement
The purpose of a vision statement is to guide and inspire the church to Glorify God and the Lord Jesus beyond it’s current capabilities and experience. A vision statement must answer the basic questions of:
1. What is our purpose?
2. What values do we hold?
3. What do we want to become?
What is our purpose?
1. We desire to promote the glory of God by worshipping Him and by advancing His kingdom in the earth.
2. We desire to promote our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, by learning of him through the teachings of the Holy Bible (KJV) and as guided by the Holy Spirit.
3. We desire to equip the saints of God by biblical teachings and practices. We desire to show the love of Christ by meeting the needs of his people in our church, our community, and in the world, through the leadership of the Holy Spirit.
What values do we hold?
1. We believe our God is sovereign. We believe He rules and reigns in heaven and on the earth and that He is Holy, Holy, Holy, even the great triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
2. We believe in the Holy Bible (KJV) and in the Doctrines of Grace.
3. We believe it is our duty: to love God and our fellow man, to support evangelism, to minister to the widows & orphans, to equip our children to be strong Christians in this world, to support full time pastoral leadership, to meet often (for example: every Sunday morning and evening, and during the week Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings), to have a church that is open to ALL of God’s people.
4. We believe it is important to support and practice hospitality and fellowship among the church family.
What do we want to become?
1. We want to be a church designed by the Lord himself, a church that glorifies God, our Father; and the Lord Jesus Christ in all we say and do.
2. We want to be a church led by the Holy Spirit to meet the needs of our members and our community, constantly showing the love of Christ Jesus.
3. We want to be a church that “spreads the good news of Jesus Christ”.
